Broken Porcelain III
Broken Porcelain III
In "Broken Porcelain" I explore the theme through the delicate and fragile image of a porcelain doll, shattered into a thousand pieces.
The painting is a portrait of a woman who has a strong experienced moment. The face is exquisitely beautiful, like that of a porcelain doll, but their eyes are devoid of expression, reflecting the emptiness and pain that lies within. I use a cold color palette to further convey a sense of detachment and brokenness.
But amidst the shattered pieces, there is also hope. I incorporate blue butterflies into each painting, symbolizing the transformative power of healing and renewal. Like a butterfly emerging from its cocoon, these women have the potential to rise from their brokenness and embrace a new beginning.
Through my art, I aim to create a space where viewers can confront their own pain and struggles, and find the courage to move forward with hope and healing.
